Ibai Llanos (9.33 million viewers)

Ibai Llanos has once again made history on Twitch. The streamer, known for organizing major events for the Spanish-speaking community and for being part of the Kings League, has broken his own record, reaching 9.33 million devices connected simultaneously during his fifth edition of La Velada (an increase of over 140% compared to the previous edition).

For the fifth consecutive year, Ibai hosted his now-famous Velada, this time at the stadium of La Cartuja de Sevilla. The event took place on Saturday, July 26, lasted for almost 7 hours, and gathered 80,000 attendees. However, its reach was much greater, as during the show, there were 9.33 million connected devices registered simultaneously. With this, the streamer broke his own record and reaffirmed his position at the top of the list of the most-watched videos in the history of Twitch.

In addition to the seven fights and seven concerts that took place, the event’s sponsoring brands also played a key role in some of the highlights. For example, CeraVe introduced its own fighter, CeraVestia, who faced off against Sequedad and Picor and emerged victorious. Brands such as Alsa and Vicio brought back Peldanyos and Mister Jagger, respectively, both previous contenders from past editions of the Velada.

The other companies that sponsored La Velada del Año 5 were: Revolut, Grefusa, Spotify, Coca Cola, InfoJobs, Nothing (R), Mahou, G-Shock, and Maxibon.

Ibai Llanos (3.8 million viewers)

The second place on the list is also held by Ibai, with his Velada del Año 4, celebrated on July 13, 2024. The event, held at the stadium of Real Madrid, Santiago Bernabéu, gathered 85,000 attendees onsite and registered 3.8 million connected devices simultaneously, about 400,000 more than in Velada 3.

Throughout the night, 6 boxing matches took place, as well as musical performances by Julieta Venegas, Paulo Londra, Young Miko, and David Bisbal. Additionally, Will Smith, another main attraction of the event, appeared alongside his son Jaden and Bizarrap.

Sponsoring brands for the event included Vicio and Revolut. Vicio delivered a food order to Ibai via jetpack just before the fight between Plex and El Mariana began. Since the streamer had no means to pay, Revolut made its entrance with a second jetpack to process the payment. Not a single second of the broadcast was wasted.

Other brands that participated were: El Pozo, Grefusa, Alsa, Maxibon, Casio (via its watch brand G-Shock), Coca-Cola (through Coke Studio, its global music platform), CeraVe, Late Checkout (the clothing line by C. Tangana, worn by Ibai during the event), and Spotify, which created a special playlist featuring 37 tracks played throughout the night.

There were also some shortcomings, such as the absence of Nicky Jam and the late arrival of the Puerto Rican artist Anuel, who sang poorly and lacklusterly, amid boos, insults, and plastic cups thrown at the stage.

Ibai Llanos (3.4 million viewers)

La Velada del Año 3 was organized by Vizz and Noob, both agencies under Webedia, and took place at the Cívitas Metropolitano in Madrid. There were musical performances by various artists along with amateur boxing matches between content creators. Sponsor and partner brands included ElPozo King, which has also participated in all previous events; Alsa, the bus network celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2023; Samsung; Spotify; Grefusa; Coca-Cola; PlayStation; iGraal; Revolut and Mahou.

Ibai Llanos (3.3 million viewers)

La Velada del Año 2, where in addition to content creators and streamers, the singer David Bustamante also participated, replacing Jaime Lorente, known for playing Denver in Money Heist. The event was held at the Olympic Pavilion of Badalona on June 25, 2022.

TheGrefg (2.4 million viewers)

In 2021, David Cánovas, better known as TheGrefg, debuted his own Fortnite skin live, attracting nearly two and a half million viewers. A “skin” refers to an in-game character appearance, which in this case for Fortnite, does not alter game statistics. As Fortnite is one of Grefg’s main streaming focuses, he joined the list of creators with their own character appearance in the game, belonging to the “Idols Series“.

TheGrefg (1.7 million viewers)

TheGrefg is also well-versed in organizing major events. Since 2022, he has been hosting the awards for streamers in the Spanish-speaking community, uniting Spain, Latin America, and Andorra: the Esland Awards. After the first edition was celebrated in Spain, with the promise of hosting the following edition in Latin America, Esland 2023 reached nearly two million viewers and took place in Mexico City.

Ibai Llanos (1.5 million viewers)

In this case, this record also belongs to La Velada del Año, specifically its first edition, which was much less crowded than the subsequent ones would be.

Elxokas (1.2 million viewers)

The Galician streamer reached 1.2 million unique viewers by reaching the final of the first Squid Craft Games of Minecraft held on the platform. In this edition of Twitch Rivals, 100 streamers competed for a prize of approximately €90,910 by playing games inspired by the popular Netflix series “Squid Game” in Minecraft.

AmineMaTue (1.15 million viewers)

The Twitch channel of French streamer AnimeMaTue reached a peak of 1,155,060 viewers on November 19, 2022, during a closely contested soccer match featuring French and Spanish content creators, in which France claimed victory with a final score of 2-0. The match took place at the Jean-Bouin Stadium in Paris and was attended by 20,000 people onsite.

Eleaguetv (1.08 million viewers)

The eSports league reached a peak of 1.08 million viewers during the final showdown between teams Faze Clan and Cloud9 in the videogame Counter Strike (CS:GO) in 2018.
