How to do an initial setup in CRM Pipedrive: Step by step

Pipedrive, a customer relationship management (CRM) tool, aims to help companies organize and track their sales activities. 9 steps to set up Pipedrive

1. Register and access

The first thing is to access the Pipedrive website and sign up for a free account. Once you have done this, you will be able to access Pipedrive using your email address and the password you have chosen.

2. Account configuration

The first thing is to go to the “Settings” option in the interface and click on it. There you will find a variety of settings that can be customized for the administrator account.

Here you will be able to set your name and email address. In addition, you can choose the preferred language for the Pipedrive interface.

3. Personalized fields

In Pipedrive, it is possible to customize fields to add additional details to businesses, contact persons and organizations. For example, if we are selling cars, we can add a “brand” field to filter businesses by car brand.

4. Choose the type of currency

Define the default currency in your account. It is possible to work with soles, dollars, euros, among others. By setting a default currency, all reports and sales will be consolidated in that currency.

Pipedrive provides the ability to integrate with Google Drive and Google Calendar, allowing you to connect your Pipedrive account with these Google tools. In these settings, you can adjust the necessary options to establish the connection. In addition, in the Silver version of Pipedrive, you also have the option to synchronize your email.

6. E-mail reminders

Pipedrive allows you to set up activity reminders via email. This is useful to make sure you follow up and make important calls. You can choose to receive activity notifications together or separately.

7. User administration

If you have more than one user in your Pipedrive account, this section allows you to configure permissions for each type of user. In the Silver version, a maximum of 25 users are allowed. Here you can define the permissions and restrictions for each user type.

8. Privacy and security

In this section, you can configure security and privacy-related aspects of your account. You can control the export of data, define who can delete business and activities, and set up e-mail notifications.

9. Data import

Pipedrive allows you to import data from other platforms or from Excel spreadsheets. This feature facilitates the transfer of information and integration with your Pipedrive account.
