A year after OpenAI introduced Sora, its video-generating tool that promised to revolutionize moving images, and having reached other countries, Sam Altman’s company has announced its deployment in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein, and Iceland.
In this way, Europe finally joins the list of territories where it is possible to use this video-generating AI. Let us recall that in December 2024, OpenAI activated access to Sora in both its mobile and desktop versions in countries such as Brazil, the United States, Mexico, Chile, Israel, and New Zealand, among others.

Beyond bringing to life moving images with a simple prompt, Sora will offer various features that will undoubtedly captivate millions of users. Firstly, there is Sora Turbo, which facilitates the creation of clips between 5 and 22 seconds in duration with different dimensions or resolutions.
Moreover, from the Remix option, it is possible to replace or reimagine elements of the content from the text prompt, which will allow you to adjust the video to your tastes or needs. In the same vein, Sora will offer the option to find and isolate the best frames of the video, with the possibility of expanding them in any direction to complete scenes. Similarly, the Timeline function will let you seamlessly merge or mix two videos into a single clip, as well as access presets to generate more impactful images.
It is important to note that, to generate videos in Sora, it will be necessary to use your credits. The Plus and Pro plans offer 1,100 and 11,000 respectively, automatically recharging at the end of the month to continue encouraging content creation. However, the credit load will depend on each clip and its resolution; for example, generating videos in 480p will cost between 22 and 165 credits, while for 720p you will need to spend from 33 to 594 and for a resolution in 1080p the cost will be between 110 and 2,200 credits.
